Holidays!
Magandang umaga sa inyo lahat. Meron akong isang bagay na gusto kong sabihin sa inyo. Malapit na sa Pasko! SO, Maligayang Pasko! (Good morning to you all. I have something that I want to say to you. Its close to Christmas! SO, Happy Christmas!)
Ok, so our last 2 weeks have been shot and this week will be too when it comes to missionary work. We have not been having very many lessons, but that is because our standards have changed. The area presidency has decided to take focus off of finding new investigators and focus on less actives. It is really needed though. Here is the churches statistics. Out of the whole Philippines, there are 750,000 members of the church who have been baptized. Out of those 750,000, there are 650,000 LESS ACTIVE members of the church. That is ridiculous. So basically we are becoming full time home teachers. I am totally alright with it, because I would rather have an active member, than just baptize someone who is just going to go less active. So, there is a lot of work to be done here in the Philippines. We aren't completely stopping baptisms, but a big changes is occurring...
Last Thursday was our Christmas temple tour. It worked out perfect with the number of people we had. I also got to see Elder S. It was really cool and would have been even cooler if it weren't for the rain, but I was alright with it still. I mean come on, it is the temple! So this coming week is, we are hosting temple tours, so that will be fun. And then we also have our Christmas party on the 16th. So Lots of fun stuff this week.
Oh yesterday we went on splits into the other Elders area. We had some good lessons. I was jealous because they have way tight less actives. After the lesson, we said, "Hey, thank you for your time." Then they said, "No Elders, Thank you for your time." It was a really spiritual lesson. I was like man, I wish my less actives did that. haha. No, I am just really frustrated with my less actives committing to come to church and then never following through.
Transfers are on Dec 22nd. So there is a good chance that I will be transferred. So Right now I will just wish you a happy Christmas. It's so weird here. Nothing has changed. I still feel like it is the middle of summer. So It will definitely be a different Christmas, but a fun one. Love y'all. Talk to you next week. Seeeya.
