February 2012

Ok, so on to the happenings of the week. Life goes on. AND! We had a baptism on Saturday! There are now 4 brand new members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are a tight family. It's a mom and her 4 children.  This baptism went a lot better than the last because we actually planned really good for it. YEAH! It was a good experience for the family. The spirit was strong. Not only was it a good experience for them, it was a good experience for our investigator who is to be baptized this coming week. Brother C.!  He is the older man who has made drastic changes in his life. It's really exciting. He got his interview last week and we are waiting now for the confirmation from President D.  The Lord is truly blessing this area, even though there are tons of persecutions, it is still going forward. We are excited for things to come.

As for the Branch, it is coming along. The people are just adjusting still. We had a good Sunday yesterday because most all of the members came to church.

On Wednesday we will hit the road again to go to San Jose. I'm excited for this opportunity. But, I am not excited for the 3 hour bus ride again, and the late nights and all that jazz. It's no fun. Haha. If I could, I would rather just have them all come up here. ha.

So it is beginning to get to the Hot season or Tag-init.  It is so hot and the wind is ceasing to blow as much, but it's still alright. I kinda like it. The best feeling is coming home from a day of work, planning, updating the area book, and then taking that nice cool bucket shower. It's the best. It makes you feel like you are really working hard when you come home all sweaty and dirty. It's good stuff.

Transfers are already half way over. Man, it goes by fast. I am feeling like I will be here another transfer but we will see. Actually I am pretty sure I am here another transfer. So, that's about all that I have for you right now. I want to send pics, but the thingy is broken so next week na lang. Sorry.

Haha.  Kids here play with spiders and keep them as pets and hold them and have spider fights and stuff.  But you have to make sure it's the right kind of spider. They are big too! Also I will take a pic of the spider as big as my palm who is living in our house. I will put my hand next to it so you can see it's size too. Fun stuff.
I love you all, I have a testimony of this Gospel. Let us all be diligent and go the extra mile, even when we think we can't. Till next time.!

Love Elder Butler.
